New Foals of 2002
The Get of Los Alamos Dressage Center Stallions

1 day old

L.A. Baltic Inspiration x Bliss by Brando
bred by Deborah Borra of Canedonia, NY is a SWB colt born June 27, 2002

Impromptu has very nice movement already and he's really funny to watch dance around his mother. He has straight legs and good bone. When this little guy goes out, he is just very comical trying out his legs - he makes the most of the turn out time.

(L.A. Baltic Inspiration x Coquinet by Concarneau)
Bred and Owned by Wilfrid Cassette, Breezy Meadows, Saco, ME

Conquistador was awarded Class 1 Premium status at his Swedish Warmblood inspection in 2002 and might just be an up and coming stallion prospect. Wilfrid is hoping to bring him to the 2003 Open House on April 26, 2003 at Los Alamos Dressage Center where we will be delighted to introduce him to the public.

Los Alamos Dressage Center happy to announce the arrival of 3 fillies:

L.A. Baltic Coppelia

The first foal of L.A. Baltic Memory (L.A. Baltic Sun x L.A. Utrilla) was born 4/5/02. She is a lovely chestnut filly by Contucci out of L.A. Baltic Memory . Thanks to Jane Mc Elroy of Hilltop farm for donating a breeding to Contucci to us. We really appreciated it and are delighted to see that the cross we wanted to make tuned out as well as hoped! Coppelia has been purchased by Jaime Topinka, an apprentice trainer at Los Alamos.

L.A. Baltic Black Pearl

She arrived according to her very own schedule on 5/21/02 in the early morning hours. "Pearl" and her mom, the Swedish Warmblood mare, Giselle by Galapard, managed to find private time for the birth in the early morning hours. We are delighted, however, with the job well done and the black/brown filly with 4 white feet, star and snip by L.A. Baltic Inspiration.

L.A. Baltic River Shadow

A big grey filly born 4/4/02 by Riverman and out of the elite Swedish Warmblood mare, L.A. Rose of Sweden. She is a full sister to L.A. Baltic River Rose, the 2000 Champion Young Horse of Dressage At Devon, and has been purchased by Patty and Frank Crawford, Colts Neck, NJ. Congratulations to Patty and Frank! (Patty is an apprentice trainer at Los Alamos)

Follow Your Heart (Stormy)
Born May 12, 2002.
L. A. Baltic Inspiration x Smart May xx (Squiggles)
Bred by Dr. and Mrs. Robert Mueller of Colts Neck, NJ

Nancy Mueller writes, "Oh Well, not meant to be for "Squiggles" to have a filly to carry the line along. HOWEVER, he is perfect in all other respects. Born during a thunderstorm, his barn name is Stormy.

Born on Mother's Day, he was up in 50 minutes and nursing within the next half hour. Very strong and smart. Just like his brothers.

L.A. Baltic Inspiration x Dahlarna by Flamenco
a SWB filly, arrived on April 22, 2002.

"Devotion" is the first foal from Dahlarna. According to her breeder, she is delicate, VERY smart and a spitfire. She entertains herself and drove her (first foal) mother nuts until the mare threw in the towel. The filly loves attention and is friendly with people. She has a great walk and canter and good conformation. Bred by Don Cammiso, Va.

L.A. Baltic Sun x Gazelle by Salvan.

When Rachel Wade of Sonoma, CA called for a shipment of semen to breed Gazelle, she requested "just the boys" and we are all thrilled that her "order" was filled to her best expectations. Photo and name to follow. Congratulations Rachel!

Katie's Baltic Fantasia
L.A. Baltic Sunrise and out of Ryan's Kathleen xx.

This bay filly was born to Laura and Rick Mancilla of Ventura, CA. They write:

"Wish you were here to be part of this marvelous event. The Filly is as precious as they get, and Katie is so understanding and allowing us (humans, dogs and the other mares) to approach her baby (Jodie, the German Shepard and the filly have adopted each other; they lick, nuzzle, and Jodie even taught her how to drink out of the big water tub!!!).
It's a real pleasure...
